New To Diving?
Never breathed underwater before? Here are the two easiest ways to start — no certification needed for either.
A quick taster — feel what breathing underwater is actually like, supervised by an instructor in our training pool. No skills training, just a first taste.
The fuller PADI Discover Scuba program, including basic skills training with an instructor. Choose the option that suits you:
If you just want to feel what diving is like without any commitment, start with Try Dive. If you want a proper first lesson that also counts toward a full certification later, go for Discover Scuba Diving — it credits toward the confined-water requirements of the PADI Open Water Diver course if you decide to carry on.
Prefer to hold your breath instead of carrying a tank? Have a look at our Freediving courses instead.

Try Dive is a short, roughly 30-minute taster with no skills training — just a first breath underwater with an instructor. Discover Scuba Diving is a fuller 2-hour PADI program that includes basic skills training, and it credits toward the confined-water requirements of the full Open Water Diver course if you decide to continue.
DSD Pool Only is your full Discover Scuba session in our heated training pool in Gauteng. DSD Pool + Bass Lake Session adds a follow-on open-water taste at Bass Lake, our local inland dive site, after your pool session.
You don't need to be a strong swimmer for either option, just reasonably comfortable in the water. Minimum age is 10 for both.
Try Dive and DSD Pool Only run in our heated training pool at our Gauteng facility. DSD Pool + Bass Lake adds a session at Bass Lake, one of our local inland dive sites.
