Frequently Asked Questions

Who is PADI Refresh for?

It's for referral students, Scuba Divers upgrading to Open Water, or simply anyone who hasn't dived in a while and wants to feel confident again before their next trip. There's no strict prerequisite beyond having a prior certification.

How long does it take and what's included?

It's completed in under a day and includes a knowledge review, confined-water practice, and the Scuba Tune-Up Guidebook — covering safe diving practices, dive planning, problem management, breathing air at depth, and basic dive-table knowledge.

Is there a lighter option if I don't need the full course?

Yes — an informal one-on-one alternative is available if you don't need the full manual and card, just a refresher on your skills. Ask us about this option when you book.

What does it cost, and where does it happen?

PADI Refresh is a flat R1 500 for all divers, no member/non-member split. The knowledge review and confined-water practice run at our Gauteng pool, with open-water practice available at Bass Lake or Miracle Waters if you need it before a coastal trip. Book via our booking page or ask via contact.
