Mozambique Dive Sites

Pinnacles

Pinnacles is a world-famous dive site where up to ten shark species can be seen, including tiger sharks, bull sharks, blacktip sharks, silvertip sharks, dark sharks, spinner sharks, Java sharks, leopard sharks, grey reef sharks, and hammerhead sharks. Divers must pay a reef tax and boating fee at the diving centre.

Three Sisters

Three Sisters, situated near Ponta Malongane, ranges between 19-26 metres in depth. The site consists of three separate reefs, with one significantly larger than the others. Divers spend considerable time exploring the largest formation, which rises prominently from the seafloor and features beautiful, huge plate corals and hordes of fish.

Doodles

Referred to as the "house reef" of Ponta do Ouro, Doodles is accessible by a brief boat journey from the beach launching point. This irregularly-shaped rocky outcrop contains crevasses and small caves housing black cheek moray eels, boxer shrimp, paper fish, and resting devil firefish. The reef's upper portions attract massive schools of maasbanker, dusky sweeper fish, and yellow-blue banded snapper, sometimes creating such dense concentrations that the shoal of silvery fish blocks out the light.
