When someone asks me what it's like to scuba dive, my answer is actually quite simple.
Everything underwater exists in beautiful blues — it's quiet, and you feel free of the effects of gravity. Diving requires you to slow and regulate your breathing, which brings a genuinely calming sensation all on its own.
Diving feels like exploring an alien world. You come across plants, animals, shapes, colours and patterns that most of us simply never see in everyday life.
Watching marine creatures move through their own world builds a real connection with nature — one that fosters appreciation for wildlife and, often, a genuine motivation to help protect it.
Underwater is a spectacular natural world, full of vibrant colours and textures, naturally sculpted structures, exotic creatures, sea anemones and a whole lot more. Diving is simply one of the best ways to access it.
