That same devotion shows up throughout the underwater world, if you know where to look. A clownfish mother fiercely protects and tends her nest, ensuring the right conditions for her eggs to thrive. An octopus mother guards her eggs around the clock, often without eating, until the moment they hatch, giving everything she has for her young.
